As a typical multipotentialite, I am interested in many things, including natural science, politics, economy, investigative journalism, travel, off-grid photovoltaic installation, singing and recording, psychology, astrology and spirituality, programming and web design, blogging, teaching, project management, team leading, hiking, cycling, permaculture gardening, ethnobotany, medicinal and edible wild plants...
...and of course: I am passionate for languages and books, where it all comes together.
I learned Latin, English, French, Spanish, and Modern Greek in the 70s and 80s at school and practiced them - despite Latin, of course! - on the job, travelling all across Europe for my main profession as agronomist.
As a German expat I lived several years in France and some others in Greece, and I had my own businesses everywhere, so I certainly have something to write about!
And I discovered many interesting books in city bookstores in Madrid, Valencia, Athens, Thessaloniki, Paris, Lyon, Rome, Milan, Venice, London, Glasgow, and at many airport book shops. A lot of these treasures and discoveries still do not exist in German language. So translating them and publishing them in the German speaking domain became an affair of the heart for me.
